Please tell us if the Sun JDK solved the issue or if you have the jstack output. I cannot think of anything else looking at the stacktrace and the netstat output... Maybe you should investigate specific bugs in your JDK/OS (switching JDK to SUN is a first step to be tried), before investigating further on the code itself.
