It appears that the problem lies with the Outlook 2007 and not with the James. The Outlook after establishing the TCP connection never initiated the TLS handshake with the server. The same outlook with different account successfully establishes the TLS connection with Yahoo's SMTP server.
Anyone here has an experience of using Outlook 2007 with James (though this should not have been difficult)? I will also try JavaMail to confirm the problem with Outlook configuration.
