It should be in the target folder.
Are you sure you run mvn install in the app project?

If not sure, please reply with the end of the maven command ouput.

If you do so, you will find the zip/tar.gz archives in the target folder.
You can unzip, cd bin, and launch james via ./run.sh for example.
