The only possibility I see is to fail fast (before mail are queued).
Fail fast is only available at James3.

You can always install a firewall or a honeypot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeypot_%28computing%29) in front of james.

Thx, Eric

Hi,

Is there any recommended way of throttling receiving emails in James 2?

I have dodgy clients who are trying to push more messages per second then
James is able to deliver to remote hosts. Outgoing queue is growing super
fast.

Thanks.
