-------- Original Message -------- First International Workshop on Design and Testing of Service-Oriented Business Architectures DTSOBA2007
Sedona, Arizona, USA, March 21, 22 or 23, 2007 This workshop will be held in conjunction with the 8th International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems (ISADS 2007), held in Sedona, Arizona, USA, during March 21-23, 2007. (for details see http://asusrl.eas.asu.edu/srlab/activities/isads/). Scope The automation of Business Process Management (BPMa) is one of the major challenges in today's IT-industry. A merger of BPMa with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) towards Service Oriented Business Processes (SOBA) seems to be a promising approach to meet this challenge. SOBA provides an architectural framework supporting the composition of existing services provided by autonomic organizations as well as the execution of the composed processes. The SOBA run-time environment supports the announcement and discovery of services considering their functionality and their desired and offered non-functional properties. The workshop focuses especially on the definition, test, and operation of executable Business Processes considering their functional and non-functional properties. This includes the description, negotiation, and supervision of such characteristics as well as the dynamic adjustment of the corresponding workflows due to business related changes in the requirements or technique related changes in the execution environment. Suggested topics include but are not limited to the followings: * Definition, maintenance, and update of business processes * Assessment, simulation and monitoring of business processes * Test definition, generation, and automation for business processes and Web services * Service composition and reusability * Choreography and orchestration techniques * Descriptive techniques, profiling, metadata * Description and negotiation of non-functional properties for business processes * Discovery and binding of services considering non-functional properties * Testing and monitoring of non-functional properties * Dynamic adaptation of business processes * Performance and scalability testing for business processes and Web services * Web services and SOA-related standards and tools Important Dates: Paper Submission Due: October 15, 2006 Acceptance Notification: November 15, 2006 Camera-Ready Paper Due: December 15, 2006 Submission Information: To submit a research paper, please send an electronic version of the manuscript in pdf format to Klaus-Peter Eckert by e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yahoo!
