ideally, what i'm trying to do is get a minimal
configuration on a client (also jboss, spring backed)
to communicate w/ the servicemix deployed within jboss
and send jms messages back-n-forth.

while it *seems* like this should be possible, i'm

Paul,

So you're using the JBoss deployer for ServiceMix - I hazard a guess
that you're running the jboss-deployer-2.0.sar, correct? If so, that
one is completely out of date, so the first thing we should do is get
you a newer build. I'm trying to update and rebuild all the ServiceMix
extensions at the Codehaus, but I'm running into some snags. Let me
work on fixing this and then I'll get back to you.

In the meantime, are you choosing to run ServiceMix in the same JVM as JBoss?
