There's the XSQL component plus there's a JDBC component here...

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/servicemix/trunk/servicemix-components/src/main/java/org/apache/servicemix/components/jdbc/JdbcComponent.java

which converts the result set to an XML Source so that they can be
processed by other components. I'm sure this component can be tweaked
to do exactly what you need; its more a case of figuring out exactly
what you want the component to do.

What is the best/easiest way to integrate with a database?

I have used the jdbc connector in mule... is there anything similar with
servicemix?

I'm looking to fetch records one at a time out of a queue table and process
them.

Thanks in advance,
