The sm-jms provider and consumer are standard component and not jmsReceiver one. So they do the same job (I think), but one is ligthweigth and the other standard.
Note that in this case, the servicemix-jms component is used in a lightweight way (inside a servicemix.xml configuration file) Cheers,
