James,

I just realized that you described importing the entire XML file as a blob. 
We actually extract the contents and store it in the database rather than
keep the entire file.  This is because half of the contents are *garbage*
(stuff we don't use).  Are there still generic JBI components that
Servicemix provides I can use or must I still create a JBI wrapper around my
persistent POJO?
