All BPEL related tasks in ServiceMix are handled via the
servicemix-bpe component which wraps Apache Ode. So this is probably a
good question for the Ode team, though I don't believe that Ode
supports BPEL human tasks.

However, Intalio, the company that donated it's PXE BPEL engine to the
Apache Ode project, recently released its Tempo workflow framework
under the Eclipse Public License:
