Kumar,
You might also want to take a look at
http://incubator.apache.org/servicemix/1-beginner-guided-tour-and-core-concepts.html,
which is the first part of a tutorial. It tries to explain some of the
JBI concepts: service unit, service assembly, component, ... It has
only recently been created, so any comments/remarks are welcome.
After you have done that, I would recommend you to try out some of the
samples. On http://incubator.apache.org/servicemix/4-examples.html,
you'll find the necessary maven config. Afterwards, you should be able
to build and deploy the sample applications, as well as build the
consumer SU for the servicemix-jms component you need for your use case.
Just let us know if you need additional help/information.

Kumar,
Not sure if this'll do you any good, but it has help a few of my
developers get going with creating Lightweight Components.
