Please forgive my English, since sun speaks Spanish well..
We are working with a database Oracle 7.3.4 in a machine Solaris, JavaWebServer1.1.3
on Windows NT and using the Driver Thin for the connection between servlets and BD.
The yield of the system turns out to be very limited (depending on the quantity of
connected users) when he/she opens up and he/she closes a connection for each servlet
while it is executed.
Connection Pool seems to be a good solution...
We have implemented the method described in the I surrender 9 of the jason Hunter book
(JAVA Servlet Pogramming p. 266), but they have happened problems, since they don't
close the connections properly to the database... they open up but they never close..
After executing for some minutes a servlets group (4 users) the number of connections
arrived at 198..
