Sravana, neither Servlets nor RMI are database access tools, that's JDBC's
job.  The difference between Servlets and RMI is the interface presented to
your users.  For Servlets, it's a browser displaying HTML.  For RMI it's a
full Java Application or Applet.  Each has its advantages and disadvantages,
you'll have to decide what you are trying to accomplish and pick the
middleware that best supports that decision
