All,

We have encountered what appears to be a hardware issue with the production
site in Perryman. The NFS File Server is unable to "see" the external disk
storage. Ron has been working with Sun support the past two days to attempt
to alleviate the problem. Sun has decided an onsite visit is necessary to
determine the issue(s). They should arrive approx. 3PM this afternoon. Ron
will be working with them. I will inform you of any progress.

On the positive side, all software licenses have been installed and machine
configuration is essentially complete (with the exception of the above
problem). Netscape, JRUN and Java 1.17 have all been installed and
configured. Data base client configuration is underway.

We will keep an eye on this over the weekend, but right now we are day to
day. Unless the hardware uissue is resolved the weekend, I will have
another status out mid-day Monday.
