Here's Netscape's opinion of the scalability of it's integrated servlet
support beyond 100 concurrent sessions, from the NES 3.6 release notes:

"Enterprise Server 3.6 includes a special version of the Netscape
Java Virtual Machine that is compatible with Sun's JDK1.1. This Java VM
can become unstable under certain stress conditions. Netscape does not
recommend that you use this Java VM under heavy load. If you require a
servlet engine meeting the latest 2.0 specification or are running
servlets under a trafficked environment of about 100 concurrent clients
(your results may vary), Netscape recommends that you use a third-party
servlet engine until Enterprise Server's next product release. We
recommend either Live Software's JRun product or New Atlanta's
ServletExec product. Other add-on products for running servlets can be
found on the Javasoft Servlet Page."
