Hi Andrey,
it's not an advertising but at our last project :
http://mlb.fantasyteam.com/ all servlets are mine
(170 K sources). And we somehow avoided problems you
are writing about :
> even if the user tries to go to bookmarked URL it

> the login page.
This problem may be solved with hidden parameters, f.e.
Although there are more comlicated mechanics...

Please, exapmle, I know all your words but it doesn't
make a sense for me.

My templates I draw you before are STATIC HTMLs and
servlets read them from disk (although we may keep
them in memory - to be efficient...) and push them to
OutputStream. With slight changes by the way...

How do you know that ? Did you measure it ? And how ?
Or may be it's just theoretically speaking ?
I know some measument systems and I made one by
myself to check the responce time on HTTP request.

The point is :
it's sure completely your busuness to choose right
architecture of your project, but :
- in Ukraine I believe you will not have so heavy
traffic to care so much about efficiency. Tell me the
number of hits per day ...
- in US they decide heavy traffic problem with
another approach : scalable Web servers
- bottleneck will be at Database side , not at the
Web engine side, trust me... better care about
Database ...
But I'm glad to meet you . Write somethimes
personally, if you will. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Regards, Alex.
