The new JDK is 1.2, and the new JSDK is 2.1 - wich are you talking about?
(cos JSDK 1.2 is already old..)

JSDK 2.1 servletrunner implementation, when available will
hopefully serve any files, no matter their extentions.
What's the connection with SSL (secure sockets layer) from your subject
line? or you are more interested on SSI (server side includes)?
