Now that the HttpSessionContext is deprecated, is there ANY way to get a
handle to an existing session using only the session ID? It seems odd that
the only way to access a session is indirectly through a proprietary API
implementation... am I missing something here?
We were relying on this to provide failover between multiple servers. We are
using the weblogic tengah server. My understanding is that their
Request.getSession(true) method only checks the local machine rather than
the DB for available sessions.
thanks,
jason
