We are using both Netscape SuiteSpot 3.51 and Lotus Go 4.2.6 with IBM's
WebSphere Application Server on both.

For SuiteSpot installation, Serialized Date objects come to the Netscape
Webrowser with the correct EDT timezone. But with the Go they come back
as PDT.

What I can get from this behavior is that there may be a properties file
in the servlet engine that can be changed. Is this true?

If not, I have to code my servlet to coerce the timezone to the correct
EDT. This is not pretty code. It also brings up the fact that if this
code is moved to a new timezone location, the servlet will calculate
dates wrong.

Any clues? Thank you.

Danny
