Subject: Re: A Free UML Modeling Tool???

You also might like to look at our Javelin tool:

http://www.stepahead.com.au/javelin.htm

$59 (practically free also) but generates and manages Java code from within
the context of class diagrams which are based on UML notation.

Won the Java Developers Journal, "World Class Award".

Excellent for non GUI development such as servlets and business models.

You can invoke javac, java, appletviewer or whatever you like from within
the IDE.

First released: March 1996 and enhanced constantly since then.

InSync technology means that your code and design stay InSync without the
need for re-importing the source.

There is an evaluation available from the above web site. Licensing gives
you a key to allow Javelin to work beyond the evaluation period.
