Hi,
I have been able to successfully upload files which are placed by my
servlets in different directories. However, I would to upload a file
from a java application but continue using my servlets. The reason of
using the servlets is that they are also connected to an Oracle database
in which I store information entered by the user related to the file
uploaded such as description, title, etc.
In an ideal world I would like to also insert the file uploaded
directly into the Oracle database, but that is something for another
message.
Basically my questions are:
1) Can use a get and post within a standalone application?
2) If I can... what classes in java do I have to use to read the file
from the local machine then convert into a java object that I can send
through a post message to my servlets.
does it make sense or is there an easier way to do what I want?
Thanks.
Felix.
