the latest Oracle drivers do support 1.2, they have also implemented the
interfaces provided by sun for sql3 object types, although they may be a bit
rough round the edges you can certainly get your own object type from stored
procedures, for example. this is across all the three types thin,oci and
server.

i also agree with jim, that quite a few emails coming from this list
recently would be better directed at a more pertinent audience.
