Three Questions:
* Are servlets a good means of authorizing a user, (via a
password and username entry form) for subsequent serving of 'secure' pages
containing 'sensitive' information?
* In what case(s) is it preferable to use servlets
for restricting page access rather than using a .htacces file, or a cgi
script?
* Are there other comparable or alternate means
of authorizing users apart from the methods I have
mentioned (servlets, .htacces, cgi)?
