Problems with jsdk2.1 and custom HTTP methods

I recently upgraded from jsdk2.0 to 2.1.  In my project I am working
with some extensions to HTTP (in particular some additional methods).
In the jsdk2.0 servlet runner this wasn't a problem, but under 2.1 I get
back a 405 Method Not Allowed response.  Is there some way to configure
the 2.1 servlet runner to allow additional methods?
