I don't know about JProbe, but PureLoad from PureIT is a pure Java
load testing tool for server applications. It includes configurable "tasks"
for the HTTP protocol and others, or you can develop your own specialized
tasks using an API. Individual tasks can be combined into task sequences
to simulate different types of users. For more info, see
