When I request http://localhost/servlets/[ against Apache 1.3.6 + JServ 1.0
+ JDK1.2.1 + HotSpot
I only see a parse error:

[Mon Jul 05 11:36:25 1999] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] Premature end of
script headers: /servlets/[

The servlet engine is still up and functioning. Requesting
http://localhost/servlets/SnoopServlet/[
returns a valid response. The internal error is a function of how the
servlet engine is using
the VM and not universal to all servlet engines.

D:\Scott>d:\java\jdk1.2.1\bin\java.exe -version
java version "1.2.1"
HotSpot VM (1.0fcs, mixed mode, build E)
