Although I haven't implemented it, www.paymentnet.com has a JNI client to
their
transaction processing system.  I'm planning to use it although I'm not at
that stage just yet. If it doesn't work I'll also go with the runtime
solution as well.

But it looks pretty slick.  Simple.

Let me know if you use them and how it works out...
