Yes, but since Servlets don't run in the browser, the SecirityManager is not
a concern. Servlets are normally run in a more trusting environment, and
you should be able to run external processes, but remember that you've just
taken servlets back to the problems associated with CGI, a new process for
each request. Maybe writing a Servlet for each task and chaining to it
would be a more appropriate use of the technology.
