We use Oracle and their InterMedia product. It works very well. If you are
not storing the documents in a database it can convert from the file system
as well. If you don't need the Oracle, the InterMedia product was a joint
effort with Inso. They probably have something as well.

Yes, if you use a MS Word - to - HTML converter program. There are a few
around. One we are using is called ISYS Rich HTML from Oddysey Development.
I think you can find them on www.isysdev.com.
We are using the ISYS converter to prepare legacy Word documents for
research on our intranet.
