Hi all!! This a bit off topic but because i am also using servlets...talking in the context of servlets seems more effective. I upload a doc ( MS word ) file using oreilly's package...and then I try to access it using IE 4, IE 5, Netscape 4.6.... Only when i access it using IE 5.0, a password dialog pops up..This password box pops up only with IE 5.0 and that too with .doc files ( and not with html files ). In addition, if I specify ok ( without entering any password details )...not authnticated error page is displayed. if i say Cancel..the doc file opens up. And I am surprised this happens only in IE 5.0. I have not specified any authentication in the directory where this doc file resides. All is accessible...Can I sense some bug here ??? My co. uses only IE 5.0 !!! Thanks in advance !
