This is known problem with JSDK2.1 and JDK1.1.x. Youhave three solutions. Get the new JSWDK1.0 (which includes servlets and JSP), upgrade to JDK1.2.x or 1.3, or use the older JSDK2.0. You'd probably do well to upgrade to JDK1.1.8 too. This will not fix the problem, but will give you the latest security and bug fixes for Java 1.1.

Subject: Startserver Problem!!!

Hi.
Well, I've got a problem with the HTTP server that comes with jsdk2.1 and jswdk1.0.
I've got the jdk1.1.4 in my computer.
My classpath and java path are set properly  SET CLASSPATH=.;C:\java\lib
                                                                PATH C:\java\bin

When I tried to start the server appears "Error 404 No detailed message" in the web page
and in the command prompt appears "Unknown object of type java.net.URL", but the server starts cause appears "endpoint created:8080" too.

I read the FAQ's about it but I can't fix it

Did any one of you faced this problem, please let me know the solution

Thank you,

Carlos  8-)
