I'm running Netscape Enterprise Server v3.6 on both IBM RISC and DEC Alpha
machines. I have a servlet which uses TCP/IP to talk to another machine on
my network.

The web server tends to throw lots of Socket Exception errors in reads in
the java.io.BufferedInputStream class. For the most part, a retry is
successful, but after a day or two the web server will run at the top of the
stack and every message will thow a socket exception error.

I was wondering if anyone has seen this behavior or had any ideas on what
the cause/fix might be.

Thanks.
