This is quite hefty stuff Steffen.
I've done similar levels with JRUN and Enterprise server (but the two
aren't integrated in my frame).
JRUN does begin to top out with Talk21 (the service I run with this)
at this level and Talk21 is a not terribly complicated email app.
Have you tested your app? Does it work?
What hardware are you using?
What do you mean by 2000 parallel users and 500 permanent open http
connections?
How are you serving 2000 users with 500 connections?
