In the request-response model, whoever requests for data gets the
response. There is no way you can transfer the connection object to a
browser. What you should do is to launch the browser (with a URL
pointing to your servlet). In this case, the browser will make the
request and get the response. Another option is to let the application
receive the response, store the content into temporary files, and then
launch the browser to open this file.
