Hi,

I am new to this list so please excuse if these
questions have been answered already.

In the September issue of the Java Report there
is an article about Java Servlets where the author
describes a framework for building robust servlets
which uses some kind of a MVC approach.

He did not use JSP because he stated that there is no
complete separation of view and model (JSP 0.92,
referenced beans are referenced logically via alias
*and* type) what he would have needed because of a 24/7
availability requirement. He says that only Live
Software's proprietary dynamic taglet mechanism
overcomes this limitation.

Is this still true? Do the servlet engines statically
bind to the bean instead of using
reflection/introspection? What about reloading of beans
if they have been changed? Do I have to restart the
web server (or the servlet engine) anytime I do a change
to a Java Bean?

Anybody?

Thank you
Bernhard Herzog
