Another client ported a critical middle-tier function from Java to C++ to improve performance. It got slower. People forget that after the JIT compile, Java is native code.
The writing is on the wall and it says "Java." Results speak for themselves and these results are loud and clear. The web surfers of the world could care less what technology delivers their web pages; it's all HTML to them. In the world of Open Standards, best of breed technologies win.
