I have. I have not had any problems with sybase and connection pooling in
the past. I have used connection pooling mostly with ASE and I have heard
from the ASA newsgroup that if you want to get meta data from an ASA
database (6 I believe) you have to DL an update from their site. That might
be the problem you are experiencing. If that is what it sounds like, put a
message on to the sybase ASA public forum. If that is not what it is, send
me some more info and maybe I can help you out:
JDBC Driver (jConnect, etc...)
JVM
Sybase database (ASE, ASA and version)
OS
Connection Pool if possible.
