What is your hardware environment?
Is your WebSphere server starved for memory?
Is it taking 20-30 sec to connect to the queue manager then quick response
after that?
I have seen slow connect times on NT based queue managers when the security
is being done on an NT PDC, but in those cases the connect is consistantly
slow for servlets and for things like the mq sample programs.
We have run the java-mq classes from servlets on a number of platforms (NT,
AIX, Solaris) and generally get sub-second response from round trips to CICS
and IMS transactions on OS/390.
