Rather working around your ISP, why not be your own ISP (depending on your
needs). I and some friends are using DSL or cable modems to do our own
serving, which allows us the convenience of using our own equipment on our
own location. If your DSL or cable provider gives you assigned IP numbers,
then you're in business. You can register your own domain names, and set up
your own DNS, email, and web servers all using free or cheap software. For
example, we use old Macintoshes (even 68K Macs) as DNS servers.

Subject: How to migrate to Servlets/JSP from CGI
I'm in the unfortunate situation to be locked into an ISP that does not
support servlets.
