Lose the concept of relative directories. Start from the server root. If
in fact the hosting company uses the directory structure as you have
described with 'wwwdirectory' as your httpd's server root, than as far as
the http server is concerned nothing exists behind or as a peer of
'wwwdirectory'. Try using '/wwwdirectory/fls/textfile.txt' as an absolute
path.
