I have a servlet that is downloading a CSV file to the user's local box.
This works just fine in netscape 4.5 or higher. In IE 5.0, the file type is
not recognized, but it is downloaded. In IE 4, I throw an exception because
the sesison data I have stored is not found. Why does the same set of code
behave sooo differently? Any information you could provide me with will
help tremendously.
is there any way to force IE to recognize the MIME type instead of doing its
own thing? I am also having the same problem with downloading an rtf
(without the exception piece).

Please email me directly as I only get the digest version of this list.

thanks,
lisa
