You need two separated things:
#1. implementation of SSLSocket
One free and legal is from http://www-sp.iti.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/itissl/
#2. implementation of https protocol driver
I don't know about any free implementation, although I have found
some suspicious classes in JDK1.2.2 for Windows in
C:\jdk1.2.2.\jre\lib\jaws.jar
