WebLogic works fine and offers very sophisticated features ( JDBC drivers,
connection pools ). I noted these issues though:
- it's quite expensive
- version 4.03 which I'm using supports JSDK version 1.1, (the version 4.5
has just been released though )
- the whole server is pure Java, therefore slow and resource-hungry.
I've downloaded Netscape Enterprise Server 4.0 recently. It supports JSDK
2.1 and native plug-ins through NSAPI, where you can share the session with
servlets. I'm working on how to compare the performance of these two ...
