Greetings all.

It gives me great pleasure to announce the global release of the Java 2,
Enterprise Edition Reference Implementation Beta. This release is
exactly the same as the previous domestic release of J2EE - the
difference is that we've cleared the export hurdles, and we are now
allowed to distribute the bits worldwide.

Why should the servlet-interest list care?

- It's a free, definitive servlet 2.2 reference implementation.
- Among other features, it provides automatic JDBC connection pooling
- Get a head start on seeing servlets as a component architecture.
- Your feedback will help us make a better FCS product.
