Wally,

   Calling parameter is same name as referred in my HTML. It fails for the
first by raising nullPointerException, but when I hit the back button and
re-post the data it displays my required output, whenever it fails it
displays message as.

500 Internal Server error
nullPointerException serveltname

any suggestions
