I hope so because I allow dynamic reloading of properties. Like you I
don't care if that the whole set of properties gets updated atomically,
but I do care that I don't crash the VM or have a particular property be
interpreted as some garbage value.
For example, if I have a property like admin.email.address that maps to
an instance variable adminEmailAddress. When I start the app the value
might be '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. Some time later I change it to
'[EMAIL PROTECTED]' and issue a reload command. For any particular thread I
don't care whether they use the old value or the new value, but I do
care if it ends up being some indeterminate value.
Be interesting to see what the experts say...
