All, Hashcode function does not return the same value on a string object for JDK 1.2 version. The hascode value returned from the version JDK 1.1.7 differs, form the hashcode value that is returned on the same string object with jdk 1.2.2 How to avoid this. If i want to have the same hashcode value returned from the two versions of JDK.
