Check out the apache project (http://www.apache.org). This consists of a
webserver which you can install (and/or use directly from the files they
have there). The cool thing about this project (besides the fact that it's
free) is that the server has been ported to just about any platform
imaginable. You can then download the JServ option (see the 'Java-Apache'
link on the left hand side of the page) which will give you servlet
capabilities (note: this does not include JSP page support). It's pretty
easy to install and setup and there is documentation at that site. You
should also look into the jakarta project (http://jakarta.apache.org/) which
deals with servlets and JSP pages.
