libXpm.so.4 .... ?!
Hmmm ... actually i don't think that libXpm.so file has anything to do with
the Apache or Apache JServ configuration.
BTW you will probably find the file under /usr/X11R6/lib. That is something
for your Xserver. So unless you are using awt components in your
servlet/related java files ... this should not be required by jre.
Have you got a simple servlet class (something like HelloWorld or
SnoopServlet) ... if that runs, then at least your Apache/Jserv installation
is correct.
Another thing .... the JDK ... http://www.blackdown.org has the jdk
distribution for linux (they even have JDK1.2)
But i would say still that nothing is wrong with your jdk installation because
I have run with the same configuration myself.
Well this is a wild guess but you can try giving "xhost +" command and setting
your DISPLAYvariable to :0.0
See if that helps.
