I have a development group with a project which would benefit from being
able to send the result of their servlet in compressed format. I know this
technique is described in Jason Hunter's book and the group has a copy of
this text. We know that the appropriate headers must be setup to tell the
browser what compression format to expect and then to use the Java zip API
to compress the output. However, we were hoping to get some input, and
perhaps some code snippet, from some who have actually coded servlets with
this ability in the Windows environment sending data back to a Netscape 4.x
browser.
